VN TO GRANT ONE-YEAR VISA FOR U.S. CITIZENS
State President Quang's presentation was followed by a report of Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh on the ratification of the Diplomatic Note.
Chairman of the NA Committee for External Affairs Tran Van Hang read another report verifying the ratification of the Diplomatic Note.
The NA Standing Committee would prepare for a resolution on the ratification in accordance with Vietnamese laws.
The extension of visa validity would boost economic and trade ties with the U.S. and attract more U.S. tourist arrivals.
Viet Nam is the only one among 11 countries participating in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) offering visas of a limited period to US citizens./.
